P.S. Art 2016: Celebrating the Creative Spirit of New York City Kids |
This year marks the ninth consecutive season of P.S. Art, a juried exhibition of talented young artists from New York City's public schools. Featuring more than 89 works in a variety of media, the exhibition showcases the creativity of 90 prekindergarten through grade 12 students from all five boroughs. |
The students' paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, and mixed-media works demonstrate personal expression, imaginative use of media, and an understanding of various artistic processes. P.S. Art has become one of the many ways in which the Museum fosters the creativity and education of New York City students, as The Met provides free visits to more than 77,000 New York City public school students each year. |
View the artworks in the exhibition online, or see them at The Met Fifth Avenue's Ruth and Harold D. Uris Center for Education until October 23. |
